James stormed over to the sofa where Amanda and her twin brother Luke were sitting. His anger was boiling because he just found out Amanda’s dirty secret. The twins were on the cusp of their 18th birthday, and Amanda planned to get her and her special needs brother out of the environment as soon as they were legal. “Just what the hell do you think you’re doing, taking to people behind my back? Huh?” He roared in anger at the two of them. Amanda thought about it for a moment and decided that protecting her brother was more important.
Amanda sneered at her father as she prepared her comeback. Just a few more hours until they turned 18 and could get away from his grip. “You know,” She started, “Don’t interrupt me!” James closed his mouth, because he wasn’t expecting his daughter to be sharp like this. “You alternate between neglecting Luke and being abusive. Then you bribe me off, and I can’t take it anymore.”
