Hello and Welcome! My name is Michael and allow me to introduce you to Gracie and Cale, who will be joining us on this journey through me getting to know WordPress and creating a website with a CMS.
Before, I would construct websites using hand-crafted PHP inside of Visual Studio Code, and it gets me exactly what I want. However, in the business world as I’m learning, not everyone is skilled in doing this by hand. Therefore, I am teaching myself how to do this within a contained environment.
So, Gracie and Cale. I thought it might be a fun idea to create website mascots as part of my enjoyment of writing fiction and they will be joining us for this jouney.
Gracie is a skilled coder and could easily do this in her sleep, while her cousin Cale is learning all of this and hoping to master the skills. So, buckle up and let’s go on this ride together, because I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get started on this journey. I hope to someday be as skilled as Gracie and want to someday be able to crack open the hood of this WordPress installation and directly edit some code.
