Project Katie
Project Katie is a book I’m working on specifically to teach me web application programming using iOS. This book is intended to work exclusively on iPhone and iPod Touch devices as will allow me to test my skills at developing for the device.
If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, I invite you to try out my first preview release of Katie! Simply launch Safari and head to

Things to try out:
- Add Katie to your Home Screen. A Web Clip icon will be automatically filled in instead of just simply using a screen capture of the page
- I provided four sections of the Hell Years chapter for you to read. Note that buttons that don’t work are placeholders for now
- On the Katie’s Nightmare section, you can tap the image for a larger version. Be careful that you don’t view the Original Size image from there (it’s a bug: you’ll be unable to navigate back – if you get stuck, tap your Home button and relaunch Katie from there)
LEGAL: This is NOT a native iOS App, since I do not have an Apple Developer account, rather it is a Web App which will run in your device’s Safari browser as well as in full-screen mode.
Like the rest of my books, Project Katie will be made available under a generous license (see Copyright section for details). As for the look of Katie, I used a framework called iWebkit.
